Calico Cat Needs a Home
A female calico cat named Galaxy, similar to the one pictured here, is among the homeless animals available at the makeshift Rockingham County (NC) Animal Shelter in Reidsville, NC.
This has been a major focus in my area as the number of animals that come in is far more than the number of adoptions going on, and I suspect that is true in a lot of low-income areas like rural North Carolina.
Similar problems have been reported in the nearby community of Danville, Va.
If anyone is interested in Calico or other animals at the shelter, they can contact the Animal Protesction Society of Rockingham County PO Box 13 Wentworth, NC 27375
