Top Ten Things To Do List (Satire): Catch Up on Michael Caine Flicks

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We haven't done this for a while, and we experienced tech glitches. Where is Javier the Intern when we need him?

Here is a satirical top 10 things we need to do list:

1 ) Read "The Great Gatsby" again

2) Plan 2016 trip to Peru (pict. center)

3) Watch four Michael Caine films even if you have seen them before, perhaps you can watch them with Zappa the Family Cat

4) Watch stars at night

5) Play Angry Birds for 4.5 hours in a row

6) Mow the neighbor's lawn

7) Wash Car

8) Laundry

9) Read the latest issue of "The Economist"

10) Find a missing pug

Highlights from Our Top 50 Things To Do List: Don't Forget to Call Bob

1. Call Bob (that's the reason we have an image of Bob Hope; yes, we know Bob Hope is dead)

2. Research for Novel (It takes place in South Carolina)

3. Work-out (but, I'm not sure we'll do pilates)

4. Go to local art museum (Our residence is Hartford, Conn., well, not really)

5. Put comics and records in antique shop

6. Read "Interview with a Vampire" by Anne Rice

7. Make a social events calendar

8. Wash car

9. Laundry

10. Recycle (lots of Zevia cola cans!)

NOTE: It's odd how American copyright laws work. One may assume the folks at Zevia in Culver City, Calif., would happy with us for promoting their product with an image of one of their sodas, but they are perhaps more likely to say we have violated their copyright and ask us to remove the image. Ya' just can't win!

Greetings from Mister Snake

We are continuing on with Reptile Week, which is not something we planned.

Good morning to those of you in Dubai where it is now 9:30 a.m., which is said to be the top blogging traffic time here in America. But, by this time tomorrow, we fully expect that we will be picking up dry-cleaning from Bergmann;s Cleaning in the DC-suburb of Arlington, Va.*

For today's entry, we are focused on the Inland Taipan snake which is said to have some of the strongest venom in the world. It can be found in Australia, but it is presumably shy and has only bitten scientists in the lab. No report on the alive or dead status of those who were bitten.

One can see this breed of snake as well as other such poisonous snakes as the Water Cobra, the Black Mamba and the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake at the Cape Fear Serpentarium in Wilmington, NC, which we first heard about in an article in "Oxford American," a quarterly literary magazine out of Arkansas, several years ago.

For tomorrow's entry, we are contemplating a look at frogs. Other reptiles can be found on our sister blog: http://www.politicscultureandotherwastesoft.blogspot.com

*-We don't actually reside in the Washington, DC- area

Motto of the Week- Why Nothing Gets Done

"Dirty dishes. Laundry. Friends. Frenemies. Women. Platoinc relationships. Potential relationships. Cellular Phones. Blackberrys. E-Harmony. Facebook. Twitter. Read book of poems by Nikki Giovanni. Write an essay/blog entry/short novel/short play/screenplay/novel. Mom. Grade papers. Fix car. Call the doctor's/dentist's office. Volunteer for local animal shelter/NPR station. Give to Habitat for Humanity. Send birthday card to co-worker. See the new happening, current indy film.

Why Nothing Gets Done....."

If it's not obvious, I've ventured into some creative writing away from the blogosphere lately.

We dedicate this entry to the Spring Center Laundromat in Silver Spring, Md, a place we've never been to, but it seems like a cool place. Their business hours are from
8:00 a.m.-11 p.m., seven days of the week. They also offer free wi fi!

Silly Photo to Fill Space- Laundry Time

We dedicate this entry to our good friends at The Wishy Wash Laundromat in Silver Spring, Md., (actually we don't know a single person who works there at all!). They are open from Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. And, on weekends, they are operating from 6:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.

I got this idea while doing a ton of laundry at my mom's over Thanksgiving. Of course, Gizmo the cat made sure to sit on top of my clothes after they were all folded up!
